One of the ways counselors help couples is through questions for couples that make them think about their relationship prior to the marriage and prior to the problems they are having. One of the most common questions is “What attracted you to your mate?”. This query is intended to make the couple each go back and think about what they saw in each other when they first started dating. It works well for most couples to remind them of what they found appealing about each other.
